Woodcraft traces its beginning to 1974 near Markham Road and Steeles, with a straightforward idea: make well-styled solid-wood furniture for people who value how it is built.
The beginning
A simple material. A durable philosophy.
The company’s history says early work started for friends and acquaintances, then grew as more customers responded to solid quality, craftsmanship, wood and guarantee. By 1980, Woodcraft describes itself as an established all-Canadian company.
Today the Markham location remains a workshop and showroom, while current catalogue and delivery pages describe furniture shipped well beyond the GTA.
Furniture should fit the room, the family and the way it will be used—not the other way around.
The wood

Woodcraft’s current About page emphasizes kiln-dried stock from sustainable forests and names Canadian pine, oak, maple, ash and cherry among the materials used. Product pages add options such as white oak, walnut and reclaimed wood on selected designs.
